Oro Valley Real Estate - Seniors Return to University
The University of Arizona and Arizona State University campus may soon be booming with retirees interested in returning to higher-education. According to Realtor.com, baby boomers, or individuals born between 1946-1964, are looking for ways to stay mentally active in their later years and are also interested in alternatives to traditional retirement home living.
Real estate developers are working with colleges to plan and construct senior communities close to campus. Not only is there a significant potential for greater housing needs near universities, but seniors help colleges secure a new source of income through tuition. Seniors benefit through a continued effort in pursuing academic and cultural interests and are also energized by the potential promise to mentor young adults.
